No, this isn’t over yet, but vaccinations are up and caseloads are down. And there are growing signs of economic life at the macro level—not to mention a big stimulus package that appears to be on the way. Are you seeing green sprouts in your business? If so, what are they? Tell us specifically where you see things picking up. We’d all like to hear it.
Yes. We received some nice orders this last week and are booked through the end of May. Considering we sell office furniture, that's a vote for normal work life sooner than I would have thought.
In 2019 I flew ~90k miles visiting clients and partners. Can't say I miss conference rooms, hotels, airport lounges, weather delays etc. But I do hope business picks up for everyone, and maybe one day I'll look under the table and see a familiar name.
Loren, although we were one of the fortunate ones that actually grew through the pandemic. Our unique approach to knowledge sharing, collaboration, and referral generation proved to be very beneficial for purpose-driven leaders during the pandemic. Trustegrity has definitely seen an uptick of new members and groups including a launch in a new state in the last 30 days. We are definitely feeling pretty optimistic.
I am in Florida and you would not know there was a Pandemic. As a capitalist, I am happy to see prosperity for some of these small businesses who got so hard hit last year and the housing market is incredible. Chicago was a tougher situation for hospitality and retail due to the weather but the housing market in the burbs is hot too. For my business, we are busy and projecting a strong year. Clients are investing in growth, digital transformation, and lead gen!
Residential interior design/architecture feels like it is heading back to some kind of normal. Our clients seem eager to renovate their homes and make some new investments to their spaces. Vendors seem a little backed up on orders and have longer lead times (to be expected) which, to us, spells good news as we all move forward into the spring.
We currently have clients in NYC, CT, NJ, and on Long Island - everyone is ready to renovate after spending months staring at their walls and their old sofas!

Thanks for your comment, Eve. Are your clients in Manhattan? The suburbs? Both?

Starting to see "green shoots" everywhere and if the SEC plays football to packed stadiums this fall, watch out!
