As a young adult, I agree with the lack of engagement, though I would argue that employees will never work as hard or care as much as the owners. That's why I left my job to essentially do the same work (analytics/business strategy) with the employee-employer relationship cut out. I believe you are out of Chicago from what I have read as a long time subscriber. If you know of any businesses that need help with analytics or performance improvement, I'm available!
