I'm not so sure you can ask about vaccination status. I would equate this to a prohibition of asking a woman if she is pregnant or is planning on being pregnant in the next X months or so. I'm not a lawyer, so I'm not sure, but in my mind it's clearly unethical. With that, the prospective employer can make it clear that vaccinations are mandated at the place of employment as a condition of employment.
