The thresholds of the OT rules are going to make it more challenging for SMB's. They are big changes and only 7 months to adapt.

Is it primarily about the money, Mike? Or is there more to it than that for you and your business?

Not necessarily our business, I'm looking at all small businesses. This will have an impact on competing for talent, especially when a SMB is attempting to scale, and the culture. We provide flexibility and don't track hours for salaried employees. Do we need to pay more attention to this to protect ourselves? Do we have to reduce flexibility to ensure someone meets the criteria?

We only have one salary adjustment to make based on this (a newer HCE employee) but there are plenty of small businesses that will be impacted.
