That is a great question Loren, they truly great questions. I’ll have to think on that and get back to you.

What would you do differently? Hindsight is always 20/20, well almost always. Their explanation of why "that" is what they would do differently would reveal a treasure trove of insight into their thinking.

Great question. Some day you'll have to tell me what you would do differently.

In choosing a new business would you select a business providing goods or a business providing services?

How do you stay motivated and engaged?

I echo Kim ... the journey is quite often excruciatingly solo lonely... how do you wake up engaged indeed... confident you're traveling a path that is headed in the 'right' direction when you lack the team camaraderie an established organization provides? The silence is deadly.

I hear you both. I think about this all the time.

Opinion. In the before times, I would have recommended solo travel. To go to Japan. Get culture shocked, navigate a new language, make mistakes, grow your self confidence.

Now, I'd recommend go on a solo road-trip. Do the same things, go somewhere new, shake your current assumptions. Ask yourself questions that cant be asked when there is a cacophony of attention demands, such as when you are on a 4 hour leg of a road trip.

You need that internal source of understanding in order to start building out. Just something to think about.

Legit. Homelessness, hunger, losing the comforts of life. Now there are those who already have that and want something else. Ex: Elon Musk & Colonizing Mars. Those people are built different.

Now, what I want to know is, what do you think is keeping you from staying motivated and engaged? We usually know what the truth is, yet we don't want to make it real by writing it or saying it.

Instead of asking the most important question, we ask/answer the easier question.

For me, I have a lot of things I want to achieve. But I'm very prone to living the daily, and forgetting about long-term plans. Survival is not Thrival (not a word, but you get the idea).

Would you rather create a new product / service for a market that doesn’t exist yet (think Elon Musk)...or a better existing product / service for an existing market (think any restauranteur)

Jim Kalb, those are great questions. If I had the personality and inclination to be an inventor, which I do to a degree, using existing product in a new and unique combination, I believe that I would go with that option as we all know breaking into an existing market, especially restaurants of which I have insured hundreds, is a tough and risky proposition as the records show.

Considering the current state of affairs and focusing on my primary business interest which is a startup Commercial Insurance Agency, how well would you see a Cadre of my business partners with such businesses as a Commercial Phone Company, Health Insurance Experts, Text Marketing Company, Business Coach, Financial Products Expert and others having their contact info and website links being featured on a page of my website www.steveseibertagency.com and second, Do you see their being an interest in NASA developed (NASA Hall of Fame) and FDA approved technology that destroys the COVID virus along with all other pathogens, mold and mildew in up to a 3000 square foot facility, a car, or a personal unit that takes the place of a mask by clipping to your collar and creating a "force field" of virus and pathogen free air around you? www.Vollara.com/sseibert

How do you know when it's time to throw in the towel and try something else? No one answer for this question, I know, but would love to hear their thoughts about this difficult decision.

Good point, Patrick. You hear so many saying you should never give up, but there is a point where giving up is the best option.

As someone who held onto my business too long and risked so much in doing so, your question is one that should be asked. First it is important to remember your identity is not your product or service. Part of you is an entrepreneur (who may be looking for a new opportunity) but there is a complexity to all of us that makes our complete picture. Are you listening just to the business owner or are you hearing the ego part concerned with the world’s view of your success or failure? What series of events would need to take place for you to not give-up and are they possible? As entrepreneurs we need to appreciate that each business venture is akin to earning a university degree where sometimes we only receive a piece of paper in the end but are prepared to execute quickly and effectively the next opportunity. However I appreciate the difficult position you are facing regardless of your next steps. I would recommend a book by Dr. Henry Cloud, Necessary Endings - The employees, businesses, and relationships that all of us have to give up in order to move forward.

#1 - If we wanted to raise a first round of capital, how to do it in a way that doesn't overexpose our ideas to potential competitors yet still come close to maximizing value?

#2 - PPC rates are often insane. How to get attention for a training service that sells for $2/month subscription - works for business and individuals? Potential market: 100M people

#3 - WILD CARD: What are the three things they would do to restore the financial and moral integrity of our nation? (Entrepreneurs are the only ones who can restore the remnant, particularly those with strong spiritual beliefs based on love, relationships, and morals.)

Can I have money? Just straight up ask for money. Talk is cheap. Likely they have a history of interviews, books you can read about their views, values etc,. Money and the decision to give it is powerful. I want them to fund, and in order to fund they will ask questions, evaluate, decide, then promote/protect their investment.

Would it be great to get input/help? Suuure. But not when they don't have skin in the game. I want whatever I hear from them to be coming from a position of skin-in-the-game.
